Directions

From I-95 take Exit 101, the Stuart (State Road 76) exit, and go north and east. Take State Rd 76, also known as Kanner Highway, into the heart of Stuart. When you enter Stuart State Road 76 changes its name from Kanner Highway to Colorado Boulevard. After you cross U.S. 1 get in the right lane and continue on to Confusion Corner. After you go over the railroad tracks take the first right onto East Ocean Blvd.

From Confusion Corner you will head east on East Ocean Boulevard. You will go over the St. Lucie River and the Indian River Lagoon onto Hutchinson Island. Go straight through the stoplight and follow the road as it bends north up the island. The next left hand turn lane is the entrance to the Center. The entrance is shared with a Publix just to the North. Our entrance is directly across the street from the entrance to Stuart Beach and the Elliott Museum.

From Jensen Beach and Port St. Lucie:
Take Jensen Beach Blvd. to Indian River Drive. Turn Left. Go three block then turn right onto the Jensen Beach Causeway. At the stoplight on Hutchinson Island turn right and go south down the island. The Entrance to the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center will be on your right just past the Publix and across the street from Stuart Beach. If you make it to the next stoplight you have gone too far.

     From North of Fort Pierce:
Take I-95 south to the Indrio Road exit. Go east on Indrio Rd. to U.S. 1. Turn right onto U.S. 1. Turn left onto the Fort Pierce Causeway, a 65-foot fixed bridge, to get onto Hutchinson Island. From the Causeway it is about 25 miles to the Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center. On the Way here you will pass a nuclear power plant and one stoplight at the Jensen Beach Causeway. The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center will be on your right just past the Publix and across the street from Stuart Beach.
